AGA-UKRAINE donates another 8,000 euros as a second transfer to the “Free Spirit” foundation in Kyiv to support the children of fallen heroes
The Galician Association for Aid to Ukraine (AGA-UCRAINA) has made a second donation of €8,000 to the Kyiv-based Free Spirit Charitable Foundation as part of its "Computers for the Children of Heroes" program. This initiative aims to provide laptops to the children of Ukrainian soldiers killed in action, as well as offer support to their widows and families.
The donation was made possible thanks to funds raised during the Beche Festival, a charity event that brought together dozens of people and organizations committed to the Ukrainian cause. The €8,000 raised will be used entirely to purchase laptops, ensuring complete transparency in the management of the funds, one of AGA-UKRAINE's fundamental principles.
The Free Spirit Foundation is comprised mainly of Ukrainian military veterans who, in addition to providing humanitarian aid, actively assist war orphans and the families of fallen soldiers. Although its headquarters are in Kyiv, its work extends throughout Ukraine, bringing aid to the areas most affected by the conflict.
AGA-UKRAINE expressed their satisfaction at being able to collaborate with such a credible and committed organization, highlighting that this contribution "not only provides tools for the education of children, but also represents a gesture of solidarity and hope towards those who have suffered the harshest consequences of war."
This action reinforces the humanitarian commitment of the Galician community to the Ukrainian people, and demonstrates that, through unity and empathy, it is possible to transform solidarity into real and tangible help.

On August 8, 2025, our association was honored to formally formalize a collaboration agreement with the Deputation of Coruña, represented by its president, or His Excellency. Mr. Valentín González Formoso.
This agreement, approved unanimously in plenary session on July 24, allocates 100,000 euros to the acquisition of essential medical equipment for the Odessa Regional Health Center, a reference hospital in the southwest of Ukraine that is key in caring for both civilians and military personnel injured in the war.
The project, with a total funding of 127,231 euros, is promoted by the Galician Association of Assistance to Ukraine (AGA-Ukraine) and has the collaboration of our local counterpart in Ukraine, the Kolo Charity Foundation, an entity with a long history in cooperation and a regular collaborator of our organization.
This agreement reinforces the commitment of the Deputation of Coruña to the values of solidarity and international cooperation, becoming an example of how Galicia can strive to manage and save lives along our borders.
